Ben Jack

Ben is passionate about the marine environment and has supported international projects addressing complex environmental sustainability challenges, including plastic pollution, for over ten years. From coral reefs and mangrove forests to the jungles of Borneo, Ben has dedicated his career to delivering meaningful action and has worked extensively with a broad range of influencers from fishing communities in The Philippines to multinational businesses.

The thread to Ben’s work is a multi-disciplinary approach that combines knowledge grounded in strong science with engagement and participation from a wide range of stakeholders. Ben has much experience in developing strategic private sector partnerships across a wide range of sectors that build leadership, address supply chain risks and deliver action and positive business impacts. Ben’s deep knowledge of the plastic system, its ecological impacts and solutions is key to his leadership of Common Seas projects to support policy change, including Plastic Drawdown and investigations into the human health risks of plastics.
