James leads communications and marketing at Common Seas, with over 20 years’ experience in marcomms including successful campaigns on conservation, sustainable seafood, disability rights, and fishing. Wherever he’s working, his heart always returns to the sea. He helped to negotiate sustainable fishing in the North East Atlantic; supported delivery of a Marine Protected Area around Svalbard; won a Clio marketing award, and developed a book on sustainable tuna sourcing that was recently republished in its third edition.
James lives in the UK with his wife and two young children, and firmly believes that we have a responsibility to leave the world in a better state than we found it. His commitment to environmental stewardship and creating positive change drives his work at Common Seas.
