Felisya Riana Harahap

Felisya worked in sales and marketing for more than 15 years, using her experience to work with colleagues and clients from various cultures.

Her passion in batik and other fabrics lead her to design and make home accessories and fashion creations with zero waste. From there, she’s shown a genuine commitment to empower women in local communities particularly tailors from Gresik, East Java.

During early Covid-19, when face masks and medical suits in high demands, she designed a quick-dry, reusable and safe medical suit. This continues to help front-liners like doctors and nurses in Indonesia (Surabaya, Jakarta, Bali and Medan) to reduce single-use medical suits.

Felisya believes her can-do attitude and great teamwork, will help Common Seas Indonesia's mission to clean and reduce the plastic pollution from single-use diapers in Brantas river.

Outside of work, she enjoys most outdoor activities such as snorkelling and paddle boarding.
