Hara Xirou

Hara is an expert researcher and policy developer, with over 14 years experience in delivering EU, national and regional projects on resource efficiency and sustainability. She has regularly engaged with EU key decision makers in the European Commission, members of the European Parliament, industry associations, consultancies and NGOs.

Hara’s experience is key to integrating policy changes recommended by Plastic Drawdown and the Clean Blue Alliance island demonstration initiatives. Hara previously worked with Tetra Pak International and ACR+. She holds an MSc in Environmental Science and Technology from Imperial College and is a LEAD Fellow of the LEAD International Network. She divides her time as Head of South East Europe for Eunomia Consulting and Director for Greece with Common Seas.
