Jean Almond

Jean has 25 years of professional relationship building experience working with stakeholders including community groups, volunteers, alumni, donors, funders and clients across a range of sectors.

She has worked for many years in the higher education sector, devising and delivering a programme of international alumni engagement. Her fundraising experience includes writing successful bids for European funding, raising funds from trusts and foundations and working with individual donors and supporters.

Prior to joining Common Seas Jean worked in the NHS during the COVID-19 pandemic engaging communities in the delivery of health and care services.

Jean has lived close to the sea in Devon all of her life and is keen to use her experience to deliver the mission of Common Seas. In her spare time she loves hiking on the South West coastal path and has fun experimenting with watercolour painting.
