Amy Meek

Together with my younger sister I started my own charity, Kids Against Plastic, at age 12 back in 2016. Since then I have spoken in the Houses of Parliament, UN Headquarters in Geneva, at the World Retail Congress 2023, TEDx Exeter in 2018 and TEDx Geneva in 2021

I am currently studying Natural Sciences BSc at the University of Nottingham and I joined Common Seas to help engage more young people with important CS campaigns, and to support the Plastic Clever Schools to inspire and activate more kids around the UK and the world to get involved with environmental action.

Young people can be some of the most powerful advocates for our planet, and often a beacon of hope.
