Sophia Kavgalaki

Sophia lives in Athens, Greece, where she leads on transitioning the hospitality sector from single-use plastic to circular solutions – via PlasTICK, Common Seas’ flagship reporting and solutions tool. Sophia leads on strategy and business development and is also Common Seas’ spokesperson in Greece. Sophia has over a decade of experience in luxury hospitality and real estate, most recently working with Greece’s first carbon-neutral resort. She brings a curiosity for policy, theory and the law gained from three master’s degrees at the University of Oxford, Imperial College London and the Sorbonne. She grew up in a family that loves the sea and wants to help clean up the ocean for her young daughter and for future generations.
