Teresia Vanessa

Vanessa graduated from Finance and Investment school at Petra Christian University, however grew up in an area surrounded by 3 captivating beaches in the form of Pulau Merah (Red Island), Plengkung (G-land), and Teluk Ijo (Green Bay Beach) in Banyuwangi, East Java. Thanks to that, Vanessa inevitably fell in love with the ocean and loves the beaches, the sound of the waves and the scenery of sunsets.

The beaches in Banyuwangi used to be very clean and well maintained. However, the current condition calls for urgent measures as more and more people are less concerned about the sea leading to more garbage being thrown into the sea and destroying the existing marine ecosystem. Therefore, Vanessa joins the Common Seas Indonesia team with the hope of being able to help reduce the use and disposal of existing plastic waste so that the marine ecosystem can be well preserved.
